Amazon Has Motorcycles! | Assembling My New Hawk DLX 250 Enduro Dirt Bike | Regrets?
Assembling my new X-PRO Hawk DLX 250 EFI Fuel Injection 250cc Enduro Dirt Bike / Motorcycle, including a couple of repairs I had to make including repairing the front brake caliper and turn signal cover. The assembly is pretty straight forward as the motorcycle includes an instructional DVD, but there are a few things I show that aren't in the DVD that might be helpful to buyers. This bike gets great reviews at a cheap price, although it maybe a knock off bike and is manufactured in China.

    I installed a Tosot unit that needed 230V. Your video was very helpful in wiring the electrical from my panel to the mini-split. I ended up using THNN wire and running heavier gauge wire to help future proof in case I purchase a larger unit. The break down of the two hot legs and the neutral, ground bonding in the panel was excellent. So far, I’m very happy with how the unit cools and how quiet the outdoor heat pump is. One thing I still need to install is a HVAC disconnect switch and surge protector. I also think I will slide the exposed signal wire connecting the indoor and outdoor units inside some flexible PVC to shield it from the elements.

    I just installed a GFCI in my main bathroom. My tester lit up properly there. But it was flickering on the other two lights in the other bathroom. If those two lights were on solid it would mean that hot an neutral were backwards, but the only two wires coming into the second bathroom. The black wire was hot, and the white wire didn't show voltage with my voltage sensor.

    My mannnnnn, what a great explanation. I do have a question on wires, long story short i dont have power on about 4 outlets that im pretty sure are connected. Ive replaced all outelts with new ones but theyre still not working. When i take all the outlets out and just have the wires poking out i checked them for a current and theyre all dead, power is on in the circuit box. This probably means theres damage to the wires inside the walls? Or could it be the breaker thats in the breaker box? Im trying to do this myaelf as i dont have money to pay an electrician to come out, any help would be greatly appreciated it thank you

    • @brettleybuilt
      @brettleybuilt 11 днів тому

      I would start with the breaker. Then ensure that you know where the wires are ran. This might take a little trial and error, but make sure you can identify which breakers control which circuits. Once you know that only the four outlets are in question, you can turn on the breaker after its tested and use a multimeter to find which outlets are working and which are not.

I used to grow weed in the room and needed 240v to give power to my 8 light control box. Now that I don’t need it anymore I was wondering if I could extend those wires to my garage. So I could charge a future ev? Can I add flex to those wires being ran to my garage?

    1:37 I'm confused... you say the roof vent is for helping the water go down but I had understood that the drains would flush quite well without a vent. The problem is not that too little water goes down, rather it's the opposite, that too much gets sucked down. Also an air actuated valve is something from pneumatic control systems, what you mean to say is air admittance valve.

    Great video! My house has an outlet in it where only the top plug runs off the switch and the bottom plug is always hot. Just recently, I removed my garbage disposal that was plugged into the outlet so I could perform some maintenance on it. When I went to plug it back in, it turned on despite the switch being off. Both plugs are now hot all the time. I tested the switch with a meter and it's good but I'm not sure about the outlet. The new outlet has four places to plug into, two on the left and two on the right, plus the green for the earth ground. The wires I'm looking at are red, black, white, and copper earth ground. I won't mention the copper wire because there's no doubt where that goes. The old outlet had red and black on the right and white on the left. I noticed that the new outlet has continuity at both connection points on the left and the right where as the old one only had continuity on the left. Removable tab? I think I see it but I'm not sure. Anyway, I'm still messing with it but since I liked your video, I thought I'd ask you and see if you could add that little tidbit to it.

    • @brettleybuilt

      Ok I live in a mobile home and a few GFCI had the ground wire connected with a butt as you explained with and additional wire. But I have a connector that is not getting power at all but there's a whole section wired together where it's 1 GFCI power outlet a regular outlet a light another GFCI power outlet 1 more power outlet and a light. I only know they are wired together because when the first GFCI pops it cuts power to everything else.
